Exhibition held in conjunction with Venezuelan Week 2008

This exhibition features sixty photographs of the ethnic group from Guajira in conjunction with the Third Venezuelan Week 2008 by Venezuelan photographer Gustavo Adolfo Bauer. For over 10 years, he has worked as an independent photographer for prestigious companies such as Cemex of Venezuela, PDVSA, Legislative Council of the State of Zulia, amongst others. He was a Coordinator in the photography department in various Institutions and has also worked as a graphic reporter during the El Salvador war, the United States occupation in Panama and the Fifth Centenary Commemoration of the Encounter of Two Worlds in the Dominican Republic.

In 2007, besides other innumerable collective works, he was also one of the artists who participated in the Inauguration of the Museum of Contemporary Arts in the State of Zulia Maczul, and has a valuable registry of photographs of the entire geography of the State of Zulia, above all of the Wayuu ethnic group(of Guajira) and its culture.

He has taken photographs for books, a series of catalogues, agendas, calendars, letter covers, corporate expositions and banks. He is currently the proprietor and president of the company Fotografia Corporativa Compania Anonima, FOCO C.A. and of the Gustavo Bauer Fotografias firm.
